What is your opinion? Do you agree with this statement? | |
Some people say that childhood is the safest period of human life whereas others say that it’s not safe at all.
I think that childhood is the safest period of human life indeed. First parents protect children from all the troubles they can get into. Parents feed their children, watch them all the time to make sure nothing bad happens to them. Second society gives children a lot of rights. If a child is being mistreated by the someone the society interferes and makes sure it doesn’t happen again. I also think that it’s a part of human nature to treat children with care and love.
At the same time there are people who think that childhood is not really safe. Children are physically weak and can get into a lot of troubles. They still know very little about life and can easily put their lives in danger because of lack of experience.
In my opinion yes children are weak compared with adults but adults are there to protect them. Yes they don’t have enough experience but society is sharing its experience with them.
In conclusion, I’d like to say that if you look at this question in terms of what the safest period of our lives is investigating this question from different angles and only then add up all the pros and cons, you will definitely see that it’s childhood. A lot of grown-ups dream of coming back to where they were safe and protected, their childhood.

Childhood is a state of time being child that is full of fun. In conclusion I have to say that in my point of view reading should be an irreplaceable part of life if you want to be a well educated person and to know your language and the culture of your country. Secondly, some good books can help you develop your imagination.
No doubt, studying at school is not easy but if you want to be a worthy member of society you should be widely educated. So, we need learn foreign languages to simplify our lives. Firstly, it is one of the ways to maintain discipline. What is your opinion? I think every student would like to go abroad to get some life experience and go to the university there to broaden their mind.
All of humanity benefits from their benevolence. Of course, science ought to be developed, but not in prejudice of Earth. Secondly, a constantly growing number of personal cars is the reason why huge traffic jams exist nowadays. As for children, they are always prevented from doing something thoughtless being under parental protection.

However, others believe that children can face a lot of hazardous situations, and sometimes it is impossible to come to the rescue in time. In my opinion, there are a lot of dangerous situations children can get involved in. Firstly, parents cannot constantly keep an eye on their kids, and thus they will not be able to prevent them from falling, crashing and being injured. Secondly, teenagers can be influenced badly by peers and start drinking and smoking early in order to be accepted and fit in. Finally, kids can be easily kidnapped, and it is rather difficult to reduce the risk of abduction. On the other hand, some people claim that childhood is the safest time of our lives. In their mind, if children are frequently supervised by an adult and are told about necessary things, their kids will not be involved in accidents. I cannot agree with these people. Sometimes parents do not even realize that children need to know that there are hazardous situations they might get involved in. Some kids are inattentive and sluggish to make right decisions, and thus in many cases they are likely to end up being hurt or injured. To sum up, I would say that it is almost impossible to prevent children from being exposed to different dangerous situations, and in many cases nothing can protect them from hazards but themselves. Childhood is the safest period of human life. Nowadays some people reckon that there is nothing better than childhood. The others maintain the idea that the best moments in life are in maturity. Let us consider who is right. In my opinion, the most wonderful time that a person has is childhood. Firstly, a child does not have to be responsible for anyone, as his parents do. During this period of life children can lead a rather careless life. Secondly, youngsters are fully supported by their families. So they do not need to think about earning money or finding a job. On the contrary, some individuals assert that being independent is more important. Thus adults can afford and do anything they want to without being said what is right or wrong. What is more, only in childhood there is someone ready to help and solve your problems. In conclusion, I would like to admit that every person decide what period of life is better for him. I think that all the children should enjoy the period of life, when their parents completely take care of them. Every human being in the world lived or still lives a childhood. There are two opposite opinions concerning safeness of this life period. Many people think that nothing can bother children. While others claim that childhood is the most dangerous time in people’s lives. In my opinion, absolute safety can not be guaranteed even in childhood. Firstly, children are so curious creatures that is why they step in any business they see. For example, there is so common thing when kids put their fingers in sockets there are lots of cases like this after which children become disabled for the rest of their lives. Furthermore, children are the weakness of their parents, kids can be kidnapped by offenders who always ask a big ransom for their relieving, it might sounds unrealistic for ordinary families but it often happens to famous people’s families. On the other hand, there are people who are convinced that nothing can threat children. They say that parental care helps prevent any unwanted case. I totally disagree with this opinion, parents are not terminators and they can not attent everything their kids do. Also, excessive concern can even trouble kids to become socialized members of society. In conclusion, i want to say that in my view childhood is more unsafe period than adulthood because human being only starts to explore world. Childhood is the safest period of human life. Moreover, when you are a child, our parents always look after us. Sometimes parents even afraid to leave their children alone because they can injure themselves. In addition, when you are a child, you live in an imaginary world where you feel comfort and confidence, and think that you are in safety. Secondly, the responsibility for your actions is not really strict so kids can be a bit careless. Finally, infants don’t have to think about money and food as it is the deal of their parents. However, some people seem to think a bit differently. They believe that not every kid has a wonderful and careless childhood. For instance, some of them are bullied in school, others live in families where elements of violence may occur from time to time. Moreover, the fact of existance of little orphans and homeless children in this world should not be forgotten. Despite the statements above, I absolutely disagree with those who consider childhood as a unsafe time of our life. If a little boy or a girl has a parent who treats him or her badly, he or she can go to police at any time. What’s more, our goverment makes some attempts to solve the problem of homeless kids. In conclusion, I want to state once again that a period of pre-adult life is quite safe time in general. At least, it is much more safer than the life of an adult. People are kids only for the first fourteen years of their lives, then there comes the adulthood.

Billions of bits of information, unlimited ways to connect, games to play, videos to watch, things to learn. There’s something for everyone. We Facebook, tumble, stumble, and tweet more now than ever. Social media is coimecting us in incredible ways. You can create communities of like-minded people that would never meet before on the Internet. But, due to this, we are spending copious amounts of time on the World Wide Web, and it’s slowly changing who you are as a person. I went for a long period of time where I didn’t read a book. I finally got around to picking up a few new books and as soon as I started reading them, I struggled. I couldn’t hold concentration like I used to. I would read a whole paragraph with my mind elsewhere or had this constant anxious feeling to do something else, even when there was absolutely nothing else to do. My mind would jump from one thought to another and I barely could read a chapter in one sitting. A talked to a few people about this, and I even looked to the trusty Internet for my solution.
I found that I’m not alone, many people report the same type of concentration shift. The reason for this is the information overload via Internet. We take in 34 gigabytes of information each day now. That is 5 times more than we did 20 years ago. There is so much going on in our minds that we rarely spend any time on one particular bit of information because there is always something new and more intriguing just around the comer. When we land on a webpage, we spend the average of about 50 seconds, if that, and know that there are at least 5 other links we can click on the page. We can still concentrate, but our minds would much rather be focused on a series of things, not one thought. Not only is it altering our concentration on reading long works, but it’s changing “how” we read. We no longer read; we skim. This is our way of adapting to this information overload. It would take too long to process all this information and we don’t need everything. We sift through the information and get to the main point or relevant material. The way things are written online is changing for us as well. For anyone who has written a blog post, it’s a much different style of writing compared to novels and even newspaper articles. The things we read online are as clear and concise as possible.
Adjectives are a thing of the past. The information is usually already condensed for you, and is separated into neat headlines that make it easy to scan the page in a few seconds. We don’t focus on comprehension anymore, we know what we’re looking for and we find it quickly. The way we are reading things is just the start, the way we are thinking is changing too. Before, we had calm linear thoughts, one thing led to another. Now, our thoughts are jumping back and forth between so many things. We have one thought, which leads to four or five other non-related thoughts, and then some time later we return to the original thought.
This is a direct result of our attention being Focused on so many things for so little time on the web. There is always a link that can take us somewhere new and start a new train of thoughts. We’ve developed a much more fluid way of thinking. And it’s not a bad thing. It’s making us more creative. You are much more efficient at combing and filtering through ideas, which in essence is what inspiration is. Linear thought is very organized and does not leave room for new ideas. So, the Internet has become an essential part of our daily lives. But it’s also important to disconnect for a while and to take care of your body and mind. Create a balance of time online and in the real world, so you can reap the positive cognitive abilities the Internet is giving you and avoid forming an unhealthy set of habits that will cost you later in life.
